Testimonials
“As a recipient of a YMCA senior citizen scholarship,
I would like to thank you personally as my representative
of the Y for the scholarship… I can’t say enough of
how much I enjoy my time at the Y. It has changed my
life. I have made many new friends and I have kept myself
very occupied and physically fit. If I were not able
to participate in the programs at the Y… I would have
a very dull and depressing life. The Y employees of
all sorts are the kindest and most considerate people
on earth. They have probably saved my life at least
twice when I had some bad insulin reactions. In my time
of need, they have done their utmost to come to my aid
and help me with greatest courtesy and compassion. I
am so thankful and grateful for the opportunity to join
with others in the most excellent programs at the South
Shore YMCA.”

“I want to thank you and tell you I am so grateful to
the YMCA for your help. In September my son Alex joined
your school and did not speak any English, only Bulgarian.
He now speaks very good English and is so happy. He
loves school. He is very excited.
I have been going to pharmaceutical school
to be awarded my B.S. in Health Science. I am so grateful
to the YMCA for helping me pay for my son’s school care
expenses. It has given me my opportunity to complete
my dream of an education at the University. Thank you
from the bottom of my heart, the YMCA is just wonderful
to my family.”

“I just wanted to thank you for your help in paying
my past due balance with the YMCA. We have been struggling
so hard to try to stay ahead of our bills, and with
three kids in daycare it’s hard to stay ahead. This
means the world to me to have such caring people help
us out. I am now able to keep working without having
to lose my job due to no care for my child. Thanks again.”
