Adventure Trips Summer Employment
Adventure Trip Leaders, co-lead several
13-day and 6-day adventure trips for small
groups of teenagers throughout the summer. Our trips
go to various locations around North America. All of
our trips are based out of Camp Burgess, which is our
overnight camp on Cape Cod.
We offer the opportunity for teens to work
together, develop communication skills, and learn to
live within a group. We provide a safe, educational,
and fun atmosphere for teenagers to sample different
types of outdoor activities. Trip activities are usually
taught by our outside contractors and include bicycle
touring, white-water rafting, windsurfing, glacier hiking, guitar lessons, farming, mountain biking,
canoeing, sea kayaking, surfing, sailing, scuba diving,
and more.
We are looking for safety minded, fun,
energetic, responsible, and passionate adults. More
important than hard skills is honesty, integrity, and
a strong desire to work with teens in the outdoors.
Applicants must be at least 21 years old, have a clean
driving record and currently hold or be willing to obtain
First Aid, CPR, and Lifeguard Certifications. Wilderness
First Aid and Wilderness First Responder are highly
desirable. Additional experience in kayaking, canoeing,
bicycle touring, and bike repair are a plus. Competitive
salary. Opportunities for continued fall and spring
employment in our Outdoor
Education program may be available.
