"Your camp allowed my daughter to enter a world where she knew she wouldn't be judged or bullied. She feels nothing but love, togetherness, but most importantly, she feels accepted. I cannot thank you enough for allowing me financial help to get her back to camp for the past three summers, and for helping to make my daughter a better, confident, happy young lady."

Outdoor Education

High Ropes Challenge Course

The emphasis at High Ropes is on individual accomplishment, personal goal setting, and group encouragement. The High Ropes Course consists of several linked elements and a 250-foot-long zip line, set in the canopy of a mature white pine forest. Our 45-foot high utility-pole-based course is accessed by ladders.

We create a culture of safety and an atmosphere of trust. Participants are “on-belay” at all times off the ground, with all transfers and clips made and checked by trained YMCA Challenge Course staff.

This program is time- and staff-intensive, so please discuss with us how this activity fits into your schedule. High Ropes will close during and after rain.

Individuals must fit harnesses and helmets, and respond to safety instruction. Participation in the Challenge Course program is at the discretion of the Challenge Course staff.

To discuss how we can work with your group, please contact our Outdoor Education Director.
