Horseback Riding
Burgess and Hayward campers may sign up
for horseback riding lessons for an additional fee.
Our stables are located at Camp Hayward,
with 14 horses, two large riding rings and two miles
of scenic trails. Led by our trained staff, campers
learn English-style riding and horse care, including
grooming, feeding and stable management.
Campers are grouped according to ability,
and the riding takes place in the rings and on our trails.
The program consists of five two-hour lessons that take
place during Interest
Group time each morning.
If campers are interested in signing up
for horseback riding lessons, please see Dates
& Rates for more information.
