Climbing Tower Set in the middle of Camp Burgess, our
30-foot climbing tower is often one of the highlights
of a stay at camp. Our philosophy is based on individual
accomplishment, personal goal setting, and group encouragement.
Everyone is challenged to push themselves as far as
is comfortable, regardless of whether it is two-feet
or 30-feet off the ground.
Routes vary from beginner to advanced,
with overhangs and chimney routes on the middle section.
Climbing Tower participants are on belay at all times
with a trained YMCA staff member. The Climbing Tower
will close during and after rain.
Individuals must fit harnesses and helmets, and respond to safety instruction. Participation in the Climbing Tower program is at the discretion of the Challenge Course staff.
Bouldering Wall
A small Bouldering Wall is available inside the Climbing Tower area. This is for down-time use during scheduled Climbing Tower sessions.
