Teens at Overnight Camp
Our Overnight Camp provides teens with the
chance to become leaders for our younger campers as
well as build friendships with their peers. As senior
campers, teens are encouraged to set goals and work
toward new skill levels and achievements. Whether it’s
becoming an advanced sailor or helping to plan and lead
an all-camp event, senior campers gain lifelong skills
and have fun in a setting that allows campers to be
themselves.
One cabin of 15 year old campers from both Burgess & Hayward will have the chance to embark on a day trip off Camp sometime during their two week stay. On check in day, parents will sign a form authorizing their child to leave Camp. Cabins are accompanied by their counselors as well as a staff member who is at least 21 years old and CPR and First Aid Certified. Past activities have included kayaking on Cotuit Harbor, geo-caching and biking on the Sandwich Canal. For more information, please contact us.
Leadership is the key to our success and
the reason why many of our campers return summer after
summer. Teens interested in taking on a leadership role
who are 16 years of age or entering the 11th grade may
apply to our Counselor-in-Training Leadership Development
Program. This program offers teens the opportunity to
develop their leadership and teamwork skills as well
as other skills necessary to become a terrific Camp
counselor. Offered at two different times during the
summer, each program is a month long.
Teens 17 years of age may apply to be a
Junior Counselor. This program runs for the entire summer,
and Junior Counselors put into practice the skills learned
as a Counselor-in-Training.
