We ensure through financial assistance that every person in our communities regardless of age, income or background has the opportunity to learn, grow and thrive.
Possibility
We work together to provide possibilities to answer the needs of our communities in the areas of Youth Development, Healthy Living and Social Responsibility.
Promise
We promise that we will be dedicated to building healthy, confident, and caring children, adults, families and communities every day.
In the 2012 fiscal year, the South Shore Y awarded over $2 million dollars to provide possibilities for people in the following areas:
- 32% for youth, adults and families to belong to our Y through membership
- 33% for youth and teens to attend camps
- 21% for infants, toddlers, preschoolers and kindergarteners to participate in Early Learning Programs
- 9% for youth to attend afterschool programs
- 4% for people to participate in healthy living programs
