Job Description
• Lead Teacher- Preschool
This position works under the general direction of the Early Learning Center Director and is responsible for the planning, execution and overall operation of a high quality pre-school classroom. This job requires knowledge of all EEC and DOE regulations and commitment to the mission of the South Shore YMCA. Completion or in progress of attaining an Associates or Bachelor’s degree in Early Education, or related field is preferred. Minimum of Lead Teacher Pre-School qualifications from Department of Early Education and Care is required.

Successful candidates for all educator positions should be qualified through the Department of Early Education and Care, provide community leadership for family/child development, encourage life-long learning in students, promote the YMCA’s core values, and show commitment to the Y’s three areas of focus: Youth Development, Healthy Living, and Social Responsibility.
