Camp Program
Traditional Day Camp
Traditional Day Camp offers a fun, well-rounded camp experience with a little bit of everything. Campers are placed in co-ed groups by the grade they are entering in the fall where they have the opportunity to participate in a variety of daily activities including archery, art, drama, field sports, ropes, new games and more!
Specialty Camps
Our Specialty Camps are designed for campers who are looking for a more in depth focus on a certain area. Led by specialized staff and area experts, campers spend half of the day working on the specific area of focus and the other half participating in Traditional Day Camp activities. Specialty Camps include enrichment-focused camps, like Science Camps and Adventure Camps, as well as sports-focused and arts-focused specialty camps.
Sports Camps
Our sports-focused Specialty Camps are designed for campers who are looking for a more in depth focus on a certain sport, whether they are looking to be introduced to a sport for the first time, or build on existing skills and experience. A variety of Sports Camps are offered for different age groups and levels of ability. Campers receive specialized instruction from experienced staff.
Arts Camps
Arts camps are designed for kids who want to spend their summer creatively. Led by specialized staff and artists, campers spend the full day immersed in the arts at Laura’s Center for the Arts, on the campus of the Emilson YMCA. Several hours a day are spent in their area of focus, while they also have a chance to take part in swim time and a specialty class in the afternoons.
Match Point Tennis Academy
For over a decade, our Match Point Tennis Camp and Tennis Academy has helped players of all ages and levels discover their game and make new friends. Drop off and pick up for all of the below camps take place inside the YMCA Tennis Lobby unless arranged with the Match Point Tennis Academy Director.
Inclusion Camp
Thanks to generous support from the National Inclusion Project, the Emilson YMCA is pleased to offer a more inclusive camp experience. With the support of a Behavior Specialist, we offer two levels of inclusive camp opportunities. These options are great opportunities for children with high functioning autism, ADHD and sensory integration challenges to experience and benefit from the full camp experience.
