Our sports programs at Mill Pond promote good sportsmanship, healthy competition, and fun for all.  Coached by dedicated volunteers, kids build self-confidence and social skills through teamwork and cooperation.  We offer a variety of sports each season, including:

Tennis

Tennis is a game for life, providing great exercise and fun competition.  At Mill Pond, our premier tennis program is open to youth beginner, intermediate, and developed players.  Through leagues, clinics, camps, and private lessons, kids learn stroke, footwork, game etiquette and much more. All of our pro coaches are USPTR-certified professionals and help kids improve their game year round on our indoor and outdoor courts.

Cheerleading

Cheerleading is a fun sport, promoting hard work and spirited competition. At the Y, we offer programs for all levels, from kids learning the fundamentals of tumbling to experienced cheerleaders mastering backhand springs.

In addition to our classes, we have a cheerleading team, the South Shore Firecrackers.  Running November to May, the Firecrackers are a competitive cheer program with 3 teams: Youth, Level 1, and Level 2  For more information about the Cheer Teams or tryouts, please contact our Gymnastics Director, Regina Rozi, or call (781) 829-8585 ext. 236.

Gymnastics

At the Y, athletics are about building happy, healthy kids through positive experiences and leadership. In our gymnastics program, kids develop a foundation of skills, improve their balance and coordination, and have fun. We offer programs, classes, and private lessons for toddlers, kindergartners, school-aged children, and competitive gymnasts.

ssymca-gymnasticsOur knowledgeable, encouraging gymnastics staff has over a decade of experience as coaches and athletes. Collectively, they have been members of the USA Gymnastic Federation, USA - Safety Certification; Coach of USA, AAU and YMCA State, Regional and National Competitors; Bay State Games competitors and volunteers; Division I College Competitors.

Synergy, our Gymnastics Team, combines skill development, a sense of fun, and healthy competition.  Coached by our expert staff, Synergy runs September through June and welcomes children 7 to 18 years old.  There are 7 levels on the team, ranging from beginner to the national skill level. For more information on our Gymnastics Teams or to schedule a tryout, please contact our Gymnastics Director, Regina Rozi, or call (781) 829-8585 ext. 236.
