Youth & Family
At Mill Pond, our programs strengthen families within our community. Parents and kids of all ages come to the Y for exercise, activities, and to just spend time having fun.
The Center, the Lounge, and the Activity Center are three areas where members can play, relax, learn, and have family time together. The Playroom is our care center where parents can drop off children while at the Y.
Playroom
Filled with toys, books and caring babysitters, our Playroom is open to children ages six weeks through six years old.
Safety is our top priority at the Y. To check in, each child is given an identification bracelet. This bracelet must be matched with a photo ID of the adult picking the child up before they can check out. While a child is in the Playroom, parents must be at the Mill Pond facility. To meet the needs of all members, there is a two-hour time limit per day (one hour for children under 12 months old) in the Playroom.
Activity Center
With Foosball, ping-ping, computers, board games, and much more, the Activity Center is a place for kids, families, and adults to spend time, play games, and enjoy the Y.
The Activity Center is open on a drop-in basis during after-school hours and on weekends. All ages are welcome. Children under 10 may use the area during supervised hours only and must have a parent or guardian in the facility.
Family Outdoor Center
Enjoy the summerat the Family Outdoor Center at Mill Pond! Members of all ages come to meet new friends, play games, and swim. Use of the Outdoor Center is included with your full membership. All pools are supervised by certified lifeguards who are First Aid and CPR trained. Our Family Outdoor Center includes:
- Three outdoor swimming pools
- Wading area with Mushroom Fountain
- Basketball, Volleyball, and Four-Square Courts
- Ping Pong, Horseshoes, and Ladder Ball
- Lounge Chairs
- Picnic Area
- Grills
- Snack Bar
- Playground
- Showers, bathrooms and changing rooms
Family Fun Time
Family Programming offers the opportunity for parents and children to have fun and learn together. We offer Lego Club and family movie night, as well as a private tutoring program. On the first Saturday of every month, we offer free activities for members, including craft-making, the opportunity to play in our moon bounce, and other activities. We host several seasonal events, including the Fall Family Fest, Trick or Treating at the Y, and the Father-Daughter Dance.
Birthday Parties
Come celebrate your special day at Mill Pond! We offer a wide variety of fun activities to celebrate your birthday, including our giant water slide. Party themes include:

All parties are two hours; the first hour is spent doing the activity, and in the second hour everyone gathers in the party room for cake and presents.
