Youth Sports and Recreation
YMCA youth sports programs fill kids' free
time with positive activities and caring adult attention.
Coaches, often volunteers that include many parents,
emphasize teamwork and cooperation over winning at any
cost, developing good values over developing the next
superstar. We teach good sportsmanship through the YMCA’s
four core values of caring, honesty, respect and responsibility.
Skill development builds self-confidence while an active
lifestyle promotes health in spirit, mind and body.
Youth enjoy sports clinics in tee-ball,
basketball, soccer, flag football, cheerleading and
floor hockey. Sports and Recreation also hosts the Y’s
annual Youth Triathlon, a very popular summer event
among the kids.

We also have a number of instructional
youth fitness programs geared to introducing healthy
lifestyles at an early age.
Our Gymnastics
Department offers programming for beginners through
advanced gymnasts. The Mill Pond Branch also has an
award-winning Gymnastics Team that competes in levels
5 through 9.
Tennis
instruction is also offered at a variety of skill levels,
from Tiny Tots right through teen Junior Match Clinics.
