Our Learning Center
The YMCA Learning Center is recognized for our commitment
to quality programming, which helps ensure a solid foundation
for learning and school success.
We're proud to be accredited by the National
Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC),
and recognized for reaching the highest professional
standards. Our preschool and private kindergarten curriculum
is based on the standards of the Massachusetts Curriculum
Frameworks. This year-round program is fully licensed
through the Department of Early Education and Care.
We provide a healthy, safe environment
where children 2.9 through kindergarten can enjoy a
variety of activities in our preschool, pre-kindergarten
and kindergarten classrooms.
Some of the highlights of our program include
weekly swimming lessons, music and movement, dance,
food experiences, exciting field trips, use of the gymnasium
and visits from community helpers. Children enrolled
full-time in our program receive the added
benefit of a YMCA household membership.
