Our Quincy branch invites parents, kids and families to come play, learn and grow. The Youth & Family Department offers fun and educational activities for every member of your family. Sign up for a class or program. Or families can just come play!
The Playroom and Activity Center are two areas for children to play and have fun while parents are in the Quincy facility working out or just relaxing.
If you have any questions, please contact our Youth & Family Staff: Colleen Belcher, Senior Director of Youth & Family/Volunteers, at 617-479-8500 ext. 4717 or firstname.lastname@example.org; Pamela Holland, Director of Family Events, at 617-479-8500 ext. 4716 or email@example.com; DJ Niosi, Playroom Coordinator, at 617-479-8500 ext. 4744 or firstname.lastname@example.org; or Annie Vraibel, Director of Family Program Engagement, email@example.com or 781-829-8585 ext. 8232.
Filled with toys, books and caring staff members, the Playroom is for children ages six weeks through six years old with a separate area for Infants (6 weeks-1 year) and Toddlers (1-2 years). The Playroom allows children to explore and imagine in a free-play setting. With a wide range of choices from coloring pages and building blocks to a climbing structure and bikes to ride, children have many fun options available to them.
We pride ourselves in providing a safe environment for children. To check in, each child and caregiver is given an identification bracelet. Bracelets must be matched by a Playroom staff member before the adult and child can check out. While a child is in the Playroom, the adult caregiver must be in the Quincy facility. In order to continue with our "no reservation required" policy, there is a two-hour time limit per day (1 ½ hours for children under 12 months old) in the Playroom.

Youth members ages seven through nine must be signed in and out of the Activity Center by an adult caregiver. Youth members ages ten and up are welcome to use the Activity Center without the sign-in/sign-out process.
Family time at the Y is about giving families as a unit, and as individuals, the opportunities to deepen relationships, develop new skills and interests, improve their health and well-being, and connect to the community. At the Quincy Y, we offer a range of family programming which provides families the opportunity participate in a variety of fun activities; share, communicate and strengthen their relationships; and meet other families.
