Directors & Staff
Our staff is the key to our success. Each summer, we hire counselors who are positive role models, dedicated leaders, and enthusiastic teachers. Our staff are fun facilitators, who are mature high school and college students, teachers, and adults with an experiential learning, camping, and/or recreational background. We are very proud to say that, on average, we have an 80% staff return rate each summer. All staff take part in an extensive interview and reference process, comply with CORI and SORI standards, and take part in a week-long training each summer.

Our day camps are run by a full time director, Brendan Casey. Brendan has been with the Y since 2004, predominantly overseeing the day camp programs. Brendan has been involved with camp in some capacity (i.e. camper, CIT, counselor, and director) every summer since 1983 camper. He truly believes in the magic of summer camp.
