LCA Preschool is a morning program that serves children 2.9 - 5+ years.
Pre-K: Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, 8:30am – 12:30pm
Laura's Center for the Arts Preschool offers families a traditional Preschool program enriched with a special focus on the Arts. The program's curriculum centers on a child's creative process as a means of self-expression and discovery and the Arts are incorporated into themes to encourage children to grow cognitively, socially, and physically. The Arts are promoted through a daily art lesson as well as large and small group dramatic play. HighScope research based assessment tools and curriculum are incorporated to address all developmental areas and support young children’s active learning. Children are given an opportunity to explore different mediums and engage in dramatic play experiences in the classroom.
"You will be hard pressed to find a school as considerate and attentive to a families' special needs as the LCA school. My son had terrible separation anxiety and the teachers have been so helpful by taking special steps to make him feel comfortable, having flexibility with his schedule, and updating me on the details of his day with every pickup! They have been so understanding and really worked with us on our special needs - both child and parent! They have been a great partner in my son's education, and I will always be so grateful for that!"
