We at the South Shore YMCA hope you had a wonderful Memorial Day weekend! With this being the last week until June, we encourage you to revisit the goals you had set for yourself at the beginning of the month.

Here are a few questions you may want to ask yourself while you assess your progress during the month: 

1. What challenges did I face this month trying to reach my May goals?
2. Which of my goals did I reach?
3. What did I do differently during May to achieve my goals?
4. Of my healthy living accomplishments during May, which am I most proud of?

Quincy & Emilson Branches Will Have Adjusted Hours Memorial Day

Please note our Quincy & Emilson Branches have adjusted holiday hours on Memorial Day, Monday, May 25th. The facilities will be open from 6:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m.

Quincy & Emilson facilities will be open during regularly scheduled hours from Friday, May 22 through Sunday, May 24.

As a reminder, paid for Spring Programs will not be held Saturday, May 23rd - Monday, May 25th at our Quincy and Emilson Branches due to the holiday weekend and will resume as scheduled beginning Tuesday, May 26th.

Emilson Members: There will be no Family Prime Time opportunities taking place this upcoming weekend due to Memorial Day. Regularly scheduled Family Prime Time opportunities will continue next weekend, starting Friday, May 29th. View a ...

With spring in full effect, we encourage you to take advantage of seasonal favorites that are perfect to seamlessly incorporate into your healthy living journeys. We recommend trying fruits and vegetables that are at their peak of freshness and taste throughout the spring season, such as mangoes, strawberries, grapefruits, artichokes, asparagus, spinach and radishes. Make sure that throughout your healthy living journey, you’re integrating different foods into your diet. Not only will this help you avoid becoming bored with what you’re eating throughout your journey, you’ll be creating enjoyable habits that support a lifetime of healthy living.
