Holiday Assistance

Making Holidays Brighter

The South Shore YMCA Holiday Assistance Program provides gifts, meals and clothing, plus engaging Y programs like camp, swim lessons and membership, to thousands of South Shore families each year. Through generous contributions and support from local businesses, organizations, and individuals, we can bring a light of hope to those who need it most, during the holidays and all year round. This critical program gives much more than just material possessions for a holiday celebration. It brings a sense of belonging which creates an inner-springboard of self-confidence and a desire to give back.

Ways to Give

Give the Gift of Opportunity at the Y

The pandemic has hurt many due to isolation and lack of connection with others, especially our children. Giving a child a program of safe interaction is an everlasting gift. Consider sending a child to camp, or providing swim lessons, or giving the gift of good health through teen or family membership. A certificate of your gift will be wrapped and delivered to the child/family for the holidays. Simply download and complete our Holiday Program Giving Sheet, and return it to the Y with your payment. Also, donations of backpacks, water bottles, towels, and other items can be donated to package with your gift. Contact Mary Orne,, 781-264-9453, for details Holiday Giving Sheet

Local families and children need help during the holidays...and beyond. Donations do more than provide holiday gifts, they help us to provide warm meals, clothing all year, and keeping children and teens engaged and active all year. Your donation can help sustain our food pantry to feed our neighbors in need and make the holidays brighter for all. Donate
