The South Shore YMCA is thrilled to announce that we have received a $4,000 grant from the United States Tennis Association (USTA). This generous funding will directly support our Lob-Stars and Junior Lob-Stars adaptive tennis programs, empowering athletes with intellectual and developmental disabilities to enjoy the many benefits of tennis in an inclusive and supportive environment.
Adaptive tennis is more than just a game—it’s a pathway for participants to build confidence, develop skills, and connect with their peers. Thanks to the USTA’s generosity, we can continue to expand these transformative programs, ensuring that athletes of all abilities have access to high-quality instruction, state-of-the-art equipment, and opportunities to grow on and off the court.
“We are deeply grateful to the USTA for their unwavering commitment to inclusive sports,” said Paul Gorman, President and CEO of the South Shore YMCA. “This grant allows us to strengthen our mission of creating programs that foster community, health, and belonging for everyone.”
The South Shore YMCA extends its heartfelt thanks to the USTA for their partnership and to all who support our vision of accessible sports for all. Together, we’re creating a more inclusive future, one volley at a time.
