IMPORTANT HALE UPDATES
ANNUAL END-OF-SUMMER IMPROVEMENT PROJECTS
August 2026
To our Hale Family YMCA Members,
Each year, as our busy camp season ends and we shift into fall, we take time to focus on facility improvements across the South Shore YMCA. Projects like our recently completed fitness flooring upgrade are guided by member feedback and our commitment to enhancing your Y experience. We thank everyone who has shared their insights through our surveys, helping to shape future improvements and investments.
Between August 28 and September 7, you’ll see several additional improvements taking place throughout the Hale Family YMCA, outlined below. Our team is committed to completing these projects efficiently, with minimal impact on your member experience.
Hale Family Y Improvement Projects 8/28 – 9/7
- The Lap Pool & Family Pool will be closed for preventative maintenance from August 28 at 7 PM through August 29 at 9 AM.
- The Lap Pool will be drained and deep-cleaned from the evening of September 1 through September 7.
- The Hale Family Aquatics Center will be closed on September 3 and September 4, including the Lap Pool, Family Pool, Sauna, and Steam Room.
- Basketball Court flooring will be refinished. The Briggs Family Field House and Indoor Walking Track will be closed from September 3–7.
- Sauna and Steam Room will be closed and deep-cleaned on September 4.
