South Shore YMCA Receives $2,500 Grant from Adelard A. and Valeda Lea Roy Foundation to Support Germantown Food Pantry
The South Shore YMCA is pleased to announce it has received a $2,500 grant from the Adelard A. and Valeda Lea Roy Foundation in support of the Germantown Neighborhood Center Food Pantry in Quincy.
This grant provides vital resources to sustain and strengthen the pantry’s ability to serve individuals and families facing food insecurity across the South Shore. Each month, the Food Pantry provides fresh produce, shelf-stable goods, and household essentials to hundreds of local residents, many of whom rely on the Y as a critical source of nutrition and support.
“We are so thankful to the Foundation for their continued investment in our mission,” said Katelyn Szafir, Vice President of Operations for the Hale Family YMCA. “This grant ensures that our neighbors have access to food and dignity during challenging times.”
The South Shore YMCA is proud to partner with organizations that believe in supporting the health, well-being, and resilience of our communities. Together, we are building a stronger, more nourished South Shore.
