$10,800 Grant from Disabled American Veterans Charitable Service Trust to Support Veterans in the Partnership Program

The South Shore YMCA is honored to announce the receipt of a $10,800 grant from the Disabled American Veterans (DAV) Charitable Service Trust in support of the Partnership Program at the Hale Family YMCA. This funding directly supports veterans in our community, providing them with personalized access to health and wellness resources designed to promote physical, mental, and emotional well-being.

The Partnership Program at the Hale Family YMCA pairs veterans with trained staff who help guide their health journeys through individualized fitness plans, one-on-one support, and access to facilities and equipment in a welcoming, inclusive environment.

“This grant from the DAV Charitable Service Trust makes it possible for us to eliminate financial barriers and ensure that every veteran has the opportunity to take charge of their health in a safe, supportive space,” said Katelyn Szafir, Vice President of Operations for the Hale YMCA.

The South Shore YMCA extends its deepest gratitude to the DAV Charitable Service Trust for their commitment to honoring and empowering those who have served our country. Together, we’re creating healthier futures for our nation’s heroes.
