Generosity in full swing at 2024 South Shore YMCA Golf Classic

Over 230 golfers hit the courses at Pinehills Golf Club on Wednesday, July 10 for the 28th Annual South Shore YMCA Golf Classic 2024. It was a day to remember, with high temperatures, sunny skies, a gentle breeze, and a spectacular field of generous golfers.

A dynamic group of volunteers and golfers from across the South Shore community come together for a day of fun in support of the Y mission: to ensure that everyone, especially children, can belong at the Y to improve their lives in spirit, mind and body.

Sending kids to Y camp

The event raised over $229,000 to help send kids to Y camps, and online donations are still welcome. Click the button below to help kids go to Y camp, to expand adaptive programs at the South Shore YMCA… and so much more.

An Uplifting Event

David Lombardo sweeps Mix 104.1’s Karson Tager off his feet after winning Foo Fighter tickets

Karson Tager, radio cohost of Mix 104.1 FM’s popular morning show “Karson & Kennedy” was out on the course this year in support of the Y. Karson took the mic at the end of the event to share that he is a “Y kid” himself, and his son attends SSYMCA Camp Burgess in Sandwich. Thanks to Mix 104.1, Karson & Kennedy generously donated ten Foo Fighters tickets to help raise awareness and funds for the cause. The winner, David Lombardo of Bardo’s and Lombardo’s Hospitality Group, was so excited, he swung the 6’5″ radio host off his feet, an “uplifting” experience, indeed! Check out the clip below from the Karson & Kennedy broadcast to hear what they had to say about the day.

Let’s hear it for our winners!
