Meet our new COO, Trevor Williams!

NORWELL (FEBRUARY 14, 2020) – The South Shore YMCA association has appointed Trevor Williams as its new Chief Operating Officer. Williams is responsible for operational excellence across the association’s twelve South Shore YMCA program locations, including the Quincy YMCA and Emilson YMCA branch in Hanover, serving over 60,000 people through membership and program participation.

Trevor Williams COO South Shore YMCAA seasoned YMCA professional with a career that spans over 27 years of successful cause-driven impact in the health, wellness and fitness industries, Williams comes to the South Shore YMCA from the West Suburban YMCA in Newton, MA, where he served as Chief Operating Officer.

During his 15 years with the YMCA movement, Williams achievements include opening a brand new YMCA branch in Leominster, restructuring and increasing memberships and operating revenue across multiple locations, continual leadership of successful fundraising efforts, launching the Y-USA LIVESTRONG program, implementing inclusion and adaptive programming, and the expansion and improvement of Y facilities to better serve the community through capital project leadership and investment strategies.

Before serving at the West Suburban YMCA, Trevor served in several leadership roles at the YMCA of Central Massachusetts, including Senior Executive/ Health Innovation Director for five Y branches.

“I grew up in Massachusetts and am incredibly proud to serve the South Shore in this role,” said Williams. “One of my greatest professional joys is building and encouraging teams to discover the power of their impact, and by understanding the needs of the South Shore community, I am excited and confident that together we will drive positive impact that can be felt across the South Shore for generations.”
