Quincy, MA — The South Shore YMCA is proud to announce it has received a generous $3,000 grant from the M&T Charitable Foundation to support operations at the Germantown Neighborhood Center Food Pantry in Quincy, Massachusetts.
This timely grant will help the pantry continue to provide critical food support to hundreds of individuals and families across the South Shore—particularly as many prepare for the back-to-school season and the added challenges of the colder months ahead.
Located in one of Quincy’s most economically vulnerable neighborhoods, the Germantown Food Pantry provides fresh, nutritious, and culturally appropriate groceries to those facing food insecurity. The support of the M&T Charitable Foundation ensures that shelves stay stocked, families stay nourished, and hope continues to grow.
“We are deeply grateful for the M&T Charitable Foundation’s commitment to our mission,” said Katelyn Szafir, Vice President of Operations for the Hale YMCA. “This grant comes at a critical time of year and strengthens our ability to meet the rising needs of our neighbors with dignity and care.”
