Hanover, MA – The South Shore YMCA is excited to announce that Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts (BCBSMA) will join us this September for their annual Service Day, volunteering at the South Shore YMCA Family Farm in Hanover.
In addition to their hands-on support, BCBSMA is donating $3,600 to help the Y expand the farm’s reach and impact. These funds will support the growth of fresh, healthy produce that is distributed to local families in need through YMCA food pantries and partner organizations.
“We are so grateful for Blue Cross Blue Shield’s continued partnership,” said Dan Berry, Vice President of Operations for the Emilson YMCA. “Their support—both in our growing field and through generous giving—helps our Family Farm grow food with purpose and deliver health to the communities we serve.”
