PLYMOUTH, MA —The Plymouth Philharmonic Orchestra in partnership with the Emilson YMCA in Hanover will present a free outdoor concert featuring the Phil’s Cabaret Orchestra on Wednesday evening, July 10 at 6:30pm at Laura’s Center for the Arts. Guest Conductor Neal Hampton leads the musicians of this novel 26-piece ensemble, in a wide-ranging, family-friendly program.
“There’s something magical about live music performed outdoors on a summer evening!” said the Phil’s Executive Director, Kim Corben. “We love performing fun music for all ages in this beautiful setting at Laura’s Center for the Arts.”
The orchestra will perform a wide variety of music with something for everyone. Highlights include Can-Can from Orpheus, Maple Leaf Rag and selections from Rhapsody in Blue and Les Miserables to the music of the Beatles, Elton John and Taylor Swift. Throw in some old favorites like Sweet Georgia Brown, We Don’t Talk About Bruno and My Favorite Things, and you have a program that will strike a chord with audiences of all ages.

South Shore YMCA’s Laura’s Center for the Arts is located at 97 Mill Street, Hanover, MA. Seating is general admission with areas for concertgoers to place lawn chairs or blankets. Guests may bring food and beverages of their choice. Nona’s Ice Cream Truck will provide ice cream for purchase. The lawn opens at 6 PM; the concert begins at 6:30 PM and runs for about an hour without intermission. In the event of rain, the concert will be inside the Center, which is fully accessible.
The concert is sponsored by the Emilson Family in partnership with the Emilson YMCA. The 109th Season of the Plymouth Philharmonic Orchestra is funded in part by the Massachusetts Cultural Council, a state agency.
