The South Shore YMCA’s Nature Center Preschool at the South Shore Natural Science Center is a Green Team Grand Prize Winner for the 2018-2019 school year! Nature Canter Preschool participates in THE GREEN TEAM, an interactive educational program across Massachusetts that empowers students and teachers to help the environment through waste reduction, recycling, composting, energy conservation and pollution prevention.
Through the efforts of the children, teachers, and Nature Center Preschool families they once again were recently awarded the highest honor of Environmental Eagles. Nature Center Preschool is one of only seventeen grand prize winners, out of 72 schools who reported on their Green Team activities this year.
As a reward for their Environmental Eagle status, Nature Center Preschool families were recently treated to a fun performance by Peter O’Malley. Through songs and magic, his interactive educational performance discusses the many ways that we can all reduce, reuse and recycle.
