JOIN US WITH THE CITY OF QUINCY AND QARI FOR THE 37TH ANNUAL AUGUST MOON FESTIVAL!
The August Moon Festival is a momentous holiday in many Asian cultures. It celebrates the harvest and the moon as symbols of prosperity, happiness, and unity.
Designated as the city’s signature event for August, the August Moon Festival features traditional and modern performances, food trucks, carnival amusements, games, cultural booths, and a street market. The festival is one of the most popular cultural events in the South Shore area and the largest of its kind in the Northeast, uniting over 20,000 diverse guests each year.
The lion’s dance and opening ceremonies start at 12 noon. This exciting celebration is free and open to the community. Rain date is Sunday, August 25. Parking is available at the Hale Family YMCA and at Quincy High School.
