Come support life-saving treatments for kids like “The Mighty” Quinn Waters by donating blood
South Shore YMCA is proud to partner with Children’s Hospital Boston to host our third blood drive on Tuesday, September 14, at the Quincy YMCA parking lot to support our friend, The Mighty Quinn.
Quinnie “The Mighty Quinn” has been battling a form of brain cancer known as Medulloblastoma for most of his 5 years. He has gone through numerous rounds of chemotherapy, months of hospitalizations and a stem cell transplant.
Earlier this year, his cancer returned, and his treatments resume with the need for blood and platelet transfusions nearly every other day. There is currently a great need for platelets and plasma donations from all blood types. Please consider trying this donation type to maximize your impact on a child’s life.
