Laura’s Love Memorial Event

EMPOWERING ATHLETES OF ALL ABILITIES TO FOLLOW THEIR DREAM

Join us for a day of fun on Saturday, April 29, 2023 for Laura’s Love Memorial Event, a fun community event to raise funds that directly benefit adaptive sports programs at the South Shore YMCA.

This event funds competitive adaptive sports programming at the South Shore YMCA, including the Lob-Stars, our signature inclusive tennis program for adults with developmental and intellectual disabilities. Laura’s Love raises funds to provide support for athlete equipment needs, staffing and coaching, and participation and travel to local, regional and national competitions. Funds raised at the event also support the growth of new adaptive sports programs at the South Shore YMCA.

The Laura’s Love Memorial Event includes a unified tournament, a mixed doubles tournament, and a social gathering to celebrate our athletes.

Growing our adaptive programming to include more inclusive competitive sports ensures everyone can belong and enjoy our South Shore Y community.  With your support at the Laura's Love memorial event, we are expanding our programming to include our Hoopstar inclusive basketball team and a “Junior Lob-Star” team for children ages 8 and up. Your support opens doors for everyone to belong at the Y.  DONATE

All Laura’s Love participants and supporters are invited to join us for food and drinks at Laura’s Center for the Arts on the Emilson YMCA campus for an awards presentation and celebration.
