At the South Shore YMCA, we believe everyone should have the opportunity to thrive through movement and community. Our Adaptive Fitness Partnership Program empowers individuals with physical disabilities to stay active and engaged through personalized, adaptive fitness support.
This non-clinical, recreational program pairs participants with trained exercise partners who assist with workouts tailored to each person’s goals—whether it’s maintaining physical conditioning, enjoying sports, or staying active in daily life. Participants have access to specialized adaptive equipment and one-on-one support in a welcoming, inclusive environment.
The Adaptive Fitness Partnership Program is available free of charge to South Shore YMCA members. Please note: This is not a rehabilitation or therapy program. It is a recreational fitness program designed to support ongoing wellness.
