Diabetes Self-Management
This free 6-week workshop, developed by Stanford University Medical Center, is an evidence-based self-management program for those living with or caring for someone with diabetes or pre-diabetes to learn skills to prevent, manage, and cope with the disease. Ages 18+.
Diabetes / Pre-Diabetes
For individuals who are pre-diabetic or living with the disease, this class will get you moving with structured workouts to fit your needs. Meet one-to-one with a trainer to design a strength and cardio exercise plan just for you. Included with SSYMCA Membership. Non-member rates are available upon request.
YMCA’s Diabetes Prevention Program
This CDC-recognized program provides a supportive environment where participants work together in a small group to learn about healthier eating and increasing their physical activity in order to reduce their risk of developing diabetes. The 12-month program, led by a trained Lifestyle Coach in a classroom setting, begins with 16 weekly sessions followed by monthly maintenance. Classes are one hour in length. Ages 18+. Included with SSYMCA Membership. Free for Non-members upon physician referral ($429.00 value).
Lean Into Strength (fee-based)
Ideal for beginners, those returning to fitness, or individuals using a GLP-1 medication. Build strength, gain muscle, and confidence through weekly group training session and support from a personal trainer.
