Thank you for helping us promote and support the South Shore YMCA Staystrong Cancer Support Program during Staystrong Support Month this October. Your partnership raises awareness and funds for this life-changing program, ensuring that cancer survivors and their families can find strength, healing, and hope at the Y.

About Staystrong

TheStaystrong program offers a unique, community-based approach to help cancer patients manage and improve their everyday personal lives and family responsibilities through the extended services and expertise of the YMCA, a leader in community integrated health. 

Built to encompass the entire family, Staystrong participants have free access to South Shore YMCA health and wellness resources, membership and programs to help them face the overwhelming challenges of a cancer diagnosis. The initiative includes free membership to all South Shore YMCA branches, a complimentary week of summer camp for children enrolled in the program, and free, onsite drop-in babysitting for parents who are currently in treatment.

Staystrong Support Month 2025

Each October, the South Shore YMCA promotes Staystrong and raises funds to support the program through:

  • Special fundraising fitness classes across branches (see this year’s schedule below).
  • Lobby tables & volunteer advocates sharing program stories.
  • Social media campaigns & Mission Moment emails sharing impact stories.
  • Donation appeals at classes and events.

All proceeds raised support the Staystrong program, ensuring survivors and their families can continue to access these vital resources free of charge.

YMCA Logo & Brand Guidelines

YMCA Logo

  • Color versions must appear on a white background.
  • Use white or black logo on photos/colored backgrounds (white preferred).
  • Maintain clear space equal to the height of the word “the” in the logo.
  • Logo must always be at least 0.25” high for legibility.
  • Do not crop, stretch, or alter colors.
  • The ® trademark symbol must always remain intact.

Staystrong Logo

  • Follows the same rules as the YMCA logo.
  • When used together, the YMCA logo must appear larger than the Staystrong logo.
