Located next to Snug Harbor School, the Germantown Neighborhood Center offers a food pantry, conference and meeting space, after-school care, a music studio, teaching kitchen, community garden, and programs for children, adults, and families..

I was a single mother, pregnant, trying to do things on my own. I felt abandoned, alone. I was driving down Parmer Street and saw the building. I walked in and started crying. They hugged me. They gave me everything I needed to make it through the day. From that point, I’ve been on an amazing healing journey. Taking classes, connecting with other single mothers. I’m at a point where now I can help others. There’s love here, there’s compassion, empathy, peace, joy… there is everything.
