Steve Hall, longtime YMCA Board of Directors and YMCA member, lost his battle with non-Hodgkin’s’ Lymphoma in 2020. To honor Steve and celebrate his memory, the YMCA established a tennis tournament in his name to be remembered during our annual Laura’s Love event. Steve was an avid tennis player and supporter of the YMCA. He was known to be extremely competitive on the courts, competing with his regular group of tennis cohorts every Wednesday morning for many years. He was a mentor and coach to his brother, Greg, and daughter, Erin, both of whom became high school tennis stars. When Laura’s Love tennis event began, Steve was right in there playing with the Lob-Stars, cheering them on to become the best they could be. His winning smile and compassion for those in need will be sorely missed.
