Strength & Support of the YMCA
Staystrong is the South Shore YMCA’s free, year-long support program for cancer patients, survivors and families. Thanks to the generous support of donors, this program is offered at no cost to participants.
The YMCA understands the overwhelming challenges families face when dealing with a cancer diagnosis. As a trusted community leader in health and well-being, the Y believes we can make a dramatic impact to improve lives in our community through our Staystrong program.
October is Staystrong Month at the South Shore Y

Staystrong Stories
"When I heard about this program, I was really excited. I could be at the Y and be close to home. Staystrong helps with the spirit, mind and body in all aspects; you're helping your body which in turn helps your mind. And, if you include family and do not have to worry about where you're dropping off the kids so that you can go get your hour of time -- that’s really important for families." View More Stories
