Friday, September 20 is Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts’s ninth annual Service Day: One Community. One Blue.
Service Day is Blue Cross’s annual day of service where 3,000 of their associates come together to volunteer at 52 service sites in communities across Massachusetts. All of the service projects are focused on helping community members across Massachusetts live healthier lives.
In addition to volunteer support, each nonprofit organization receives a grant for materials to support their efforts. These grants – coupled with the 20,000 volunteer hours Blue Cross associates will contribute – total over $1 million made in community contributions on Service Day alone.
